Green Architecture in Corona

Green Building (also called “Sustainable Design”) is a way of designing and building structures that allows people to be more responsible with energy and natural resources.

Humans are simply consuming more resources than we can sustain over time. Buildings are the biggest culprit, and must be designed differently than in the past.

Architecture teachers at the high school and community college level are aware of the change to green building techniques, but do not know how to implement the techniques into their curriculum.

The California State funded SB70 Community Collaborative grant is a partnership of Santiago High and Riverside Community College with a goal of training teachers how to implement “Green Building” techniques into their classroom.
